· Situation – Global Concessions & Logistics Company falling behind on their shareholder and Board of Directors commitment to reduce cost, improve safer work environment and reduce carbon footprint 

o Primary obstacle was funding for the beta testing (extensive with multiple OEMs and complex design)

o Partnered with Microsoft and used their Seattle HQ for proof of concept, agreed to bear most of the cost

· Solution -Connected kitchen Smart hub with disparate data collecting IoT devices to track all powered kitchen components including oven, freezer, HVAC, food spoil times, etc.

o Beta test exceeded expectations and would be replicated by both Compass & Microsoft 

o Improved carbon footprint and realized a ~15% energy reduction while achieving safety improvements 

                                                                          FinTech Provider

· Situation – Global Payment Company purchased Point of Sale (PoS) company using legacy connectivity. Design at the time was expensive, obsolete and hard to manage

o Obstacle: how to connect over 200k devices with a more efficient design and reduce transition timeline

· Solution - Presented Machine to Machine IoT network solution with Cisco’s Jasper Management System. Connected all 200k machines and added 300k more

o Now AT&T’s largest IoT customer and continues to generate 2-10k new drops per month

                                                                 Vehicle Insurance - Monitoring

· Situation – Major Auto Insurance Company seeking a way to differentiate in their market

o While vehicle tracking is a mature product the device needed for solution would have to be much more complex

· Solution - Developed a proprietary solution which included connection to vehicles management CPU, its own internal accelerometer/gyros and used 5G and Cloud Provider to broadcast data on demand removing the need for internal storage of data

o Company can now offer reduced rates by verifying driving patterns, determine “at fault” party involved in accident, recover stolen vehicles and other features.

o Solution replicated for other companies due to success

                                     Current Market Observations of Lead Technology – IoT

· Self-Driving EVs only now a realistic expectation with mid-band 5G and priority AI connection to a cloud provider

o Sub 6mm Wave will offer more autonomy due to increased speed

o AI development and machine learning very close in allowing true automation 

§ Moral and regulatory considerations still need to be monitored closely

· Must understand the IT wireline infrastructure and how it interfaces with wireless is critical to any advanced IoT solution requiring high speed and low latency

· Knowledge of IoT controls, management systems, endpoint equipment and other networking elements are an imperative
